Bryan Danielson Wants To Risk It All In Dream Match

Bryan Danielson

Bryan Danielson has a dream match with a surprising stipulation in mind.

Back in September, Bryan Danielson revealed his plans to step back as a full-time wrestler during 2024. Far from slowing down, though, The American Dragon has been ticking off as many dream matches as he can before that time.

So far in 2024, the star has taken on legends like Jun Akiyama, Yuji Nagata, Kazuchika Okada, and Katsuyori Shibata. Most recently, he joined the rest of the Blackpool Combat Club in heading to CMLL in Mexico to face the star-studded team of Blue Panther, Mistico, Ultimo Guerrero, and Volador Jr at the promotion’s Homenaje a Dos Leyendas event.

While the BCC was defeated by the CMLL team, Danielson still has unfinished business with Blue Panther. At a press conference ahead of the bout, the star said one of his biggest dreams was to face the lucha legend in a Hair vs. Hair match.

โ€œYeah, I mean, honestly, this is one of my biggest dreams in wrestling that I have yet to accomplish, is to wrestle in Arena Mexico, in a Hair vs. Hair or Hair vs. Mask match. I would love for that to be against Blue Panther, but I donโ€™t know how much of a chance he stands at this point. So heโ€™ll be losing his hair if we do that. Whose mask Iโ€™d really like to take, I would love to do Mistico vs. Bryan Danielson, Hair versus Mask.”

Bryan Danielson Challenges Blue Panther

After losing the match against Team CMLL, Danielson laid down the challenge for Blue Panther to meet him one-on-one in Arena Mexico on April 5th. While the Hair vs. Hair stipulation hasn’t been mentioned, Blue Panther has accepted the match, giving Danielson another longtime dream match to add to his list of accomplishments.
