Bryan Danielson Might Need Protection For AEW Match

Bryan Danielson

Bryan Danielson’s AEW in-ring return could come with the American Dragon wearing some sort of facial protection.

It has been a great year for Bryan Danielson in AEW in many ways, but he’s also dealt with injuries. In his Forbidden Door match with Kazuchika Okada, Bryan suffered a broken right arm and more recently it was a broken orbital bone injury.

Bryan Danielson suffered the orbital bone injury on the October 21st episode of AEW Collison in a match against Andrade El Idolo. Since then, Bryan has been recovering while also making appearances wearing an eye patch.

Fans who watched the November 29th episode of Dynamite saw Bryan Danielson on commentary during Continental Classic matches and noticed that Bryan was wearing the eye patch due to his orbital bone injury.

Will Bryan Danielson Wrestle With An Eyepatch Or Another Form Of Protection?

The December 2nd edition of AEW Collision will see Bryan Danielson compete in his first Continental Classic match against the recent ROH Champion Eddie Kingston, who is putting his title on the line in the tournament to crown a new Triple Crown Champion.

While speaking to Maggie & Perloff of CBS Sports, Bryan Danielson revealed that he he might wrestle with an eye patch on or perhaps something else.

“I’m going to have to talk to the doctors. The benefit of wearing the eye patch is that, the bones are completely healed, but the benefit of wearing the eye patch is that, I still have a little bit of double division.”

“If I take the eye patch off, I tend to get a little bit dizzy because of the motion of the eye. The eye patch stops me from getting dizzy. They may want me to wear a protective mask. We’ll see. It may end up being face mask with eye patch on top of the face mask.”

Fans will tune into Collision to see if Bryan is wearing an eye patch or another kind of protection during his match with Kingston.
