Bryan Danielson Loses NJPW Match, Wants Stipulation Rematch

Bryan Danielson remains determined to get the better of one of his biggest rivals.

After trading an ever-increasing list of insults, Bryan Danielson and Zack Sabre Jr. finally met in the ring at WrestleDream back in October. On that occasion, it was Danielson who scored the win with a running knee, something that didn’t sit well with his opponent.

Given the match was meant to decide the ‘best technical wrestler in the world’ Sabre Jr. was practically affronted that a strike and not a submission had beaten him. This laid the foundation for a rematch at NJPW New Beginning in Osaka.

This time it was the British star who got the upper hand, pinning the American Dragon at the end of a stunningly hard-hitting, technical contest.

After the match, Danielson was even moved to admit that he was no longer the best technical wrestler on the planet and that the title now belongs to Sabre Jr.

Bryan Danielson Not Done With Zack Sabre Jr

However, that wasn’t all Danielson said after the bout. In a backstage promo, the AEW said that despite the defeat he might want “one more” with ZSJ. Given that the score between them is now 1-1, Danielson proposed a Two-Out-Of-Three Falls Match to settle the score once and for all. He added that the match should be held on neutral territory after he beat ZSJ in the United States and lost in Japan.

Elsewhere, the show saw NJPW say goodbye to Kazuchika Okada and Will Ospreay. While Ospreay is already signed to AEW, it is believed that Kazuchika Okada will soon be All Elite.
