Bryan Danielson And Kazuchika Okada Facing Off In AEW Dynamite Tag Team Match
Bryan Danielson and Kazuchika Okada will be on opposite teams for a big tag team match on AEW Dynamite.
For the first time ever, former IWGP World Champion and NJPW legend Kazuchika Okada will be wrestling on AEW Dynamite on next week’s episode airing on Wednesday, October 25th. While Okada has wrestled several matches in AEW before, he has never wrestled on Dynamite.
What’s interesting about that match on Dynamite is that it will be the first time Okada is in a match against his opponent at Forbidden Door: Bryan Danielson.
The match on Dynamite will see the Blackpool Combat Club’s Bryan Danielson & Claudio Castagnoli team up against the AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy & Kazuchika Okada. It was set up by a promo that Orange Cassidy did on the AEW Battle of the Belts show that aired on Saturday night.

Bryan Danielson defeated Kazuchika Okada at Forbidden Door while also suffering a broken arm
At June’s Forbidden Door pay-per-view that was an event co-promoted by AEW and NJPW, the main event of the show was a dream match between former WWE & ROH World Champion Bryan Danielson and former IWGP World Champion Kazuchika Okada. They are two men who have been considered among the best in the world over the last 20 years, so it was a highly anticipated match.
During that match, Okada did an elbow drop and hit Bryan in the right arm in the worst possible spot because it broke Bryan’s arm. Bryan would go on to wrestle another ten minutes and pick up the win by submission.
Bryan Danielson ended up having surgery on his broken right arm, which led to a steel rod and nine screws put into his right arm. Bryan missed about two months of action and has been wrestling ever since.
There is no word on when Bryan and Okada might have a singles match rematch, but at least fans who want to see them in the ring can do so this Wednesday on AEW Dynamite.
