Bryan Danielson Injury “Worse Than We Thought”

At Forbidden Door, Bryan Danielson and Kazuchika Okada clashed in a dream match to cap off a spectacular show but the hard-hitting bout left Danielson counting the cost afterward.

In a match fitting of the occasion, Danielson and Okada went back and forth for almost half an hour with The American Dragon eventually picking up the win when he shockingly made the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion tap out.

Bryan Danielson was forced to wrestle much of the match with one good arm, however, as he appeared to hurt it during the bout. At the post-show media scrum, Danielson revealed the extent of that injury saying “We think I fractured my right forearm with about ten minutes left to go.” Danielson then noted that after talks with AEW doctors and staff, it’s expected that he’ll miss 6-8 weeks of action. If that timetable is correct, it means Danielson could and likely would still be on the card for All In at Wembley Stadium.

However, Danielson’s wife Brie Garcia – formerly known in WWE as Brie Bella – posted a photo of his x-ray which shows the extent of the break with Garcia writing:

“Not sure to be proud or chastise him for wrestling 10 more minutes with this break!! Definitely worse than we thought!! Nurse Brie ready for action!!”
