Bryan Danielson Adds Huge Stipulation To AEW All In Match

Bryan Danielson AEW

Bryan Danielson had something very interesting to say on AEW Dynamite regarding his World Title match at All In.

As the winner of this year’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, Bryan Danielson earned the right to challenge for the AEW World Championship held by Swerve Strickland at the All In pay-per-view taking place on August 25th at Wembley Stadium in London, England.

While Bryan Danielson can say he’s a former WWE and ROH World Champion, he has yet to win the AEW World Championship during his three years in the company.

On the July 31st edition of AEW Dynamite in Greenville, SC, Danielson spoke from the heart. Danielson also admitted that his current AEW contract expires on August 1st and when he signed with AEW three years ago, that was going to be the last contract he signed because of what he promised his daughter and family.

Bryan Danielson made it clear that while he hasn’t won the AEW World Title yet, he plans to do it at All In on August 25th.

“Over the last three years I’ve kicked a lot of people’s heads in. But I have not won the AEW World Championship…yet! Now this is probably going to be my last shot. Not probably. It will be my last shot, and it is at AEW biggest show of the year. And there are doctors who are telling me not to wrestle.”

“But my promise is I will go to Wembley Stadium, and I will be present for that moment. I will give you 100% where 100% is not possible. I promise that at All In, with my mind, body, and soul, I will go all in!

That’s when the AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland entered the ring with his manager Prince Nana. Swerve admitted that any other time, he would root for Danielson to win, but he can’t do that because this is Swerve’s time.

Swerve Strickland made it clear to Danielson that while he has respect for Bryan, he plans on beating him and even threatened Bryan by saying he may never walk again when Swerve is done with him.

“This is not an achievement award. This belt shows you and everybody else that you are beyond a shadow of a doubt the best wrestler in the world. And I am the best in the world! You challenged Will Ospreay, you lost and got hurt. I took him on, and I won. You were in the Anarchy in the Arena, and you lost. I lead Team AEW and we won at Blood & Guts.”

“Maybe your body just can’t handle the pressures of being the champion. I know you want to be in the moment. So, let’s be in this moment, Bryan, and let me make a promise to you. I promise you that I am the most dangerous man in AEW. I’m also going to promise you this. You’re not going to be walking out of All In as champion. After I’m done with you, you may never walk again.”

Bryan Danielson Sets Up Career Vs. Title Match At AEW All In

When it looked like Swerve Strickland was ready to leave the ring, Bryan Danielson spoke up again. It was at this moment when Bryan said he will never wrestle again if he loses against Swerve at All In, which means it’s a Title vs. Career Match.

Bryan: “Swerve, I have one more promise. I promise if I don’t win the AEW World Championship, I will never wrestle again! Your title versus my career at All In. Swerve, what do you say?”

Swerve: “That’s very noble of you Bryan. But don’t keep that promise to me. Keep it with your family.”

That’s when Bryan extended his hand and Swerve shook it to agree to the stipulation.

After the promo, Danielson saw his friend Jeff Jarrett, who congratulated Bryan for going all in. That led to Bryan challenging Jarrett to a match on Dynamite next week, so it will be something of a tune up match for Danielson before his World Title match at All In.
