Bryan Danielson Reveals When Full-Time AEW Career Will End

Bryan Danielson AEW World Champion

Bryan Danielson has only held the AEW World Championship for a matter of days but he’s now revealed when his full-time wrestling career will come to an end.

At AEW All In, Bryan Danielson defeated Swerve Strickland to capture the AEW World Title for the first time. The win was even more significant as Danielson had put his wrestling career on the line in the match meaning that if he had lost in Wembley Stadium then he’d have been forced to retire.

However, question marks have loomed large over Danielson’s future as he has long said 2024 would be his last full-time year as a wrestler as he sought to keep a promise to his children.

Now on Dynamite in Champaign, Illinois, the future of the American Dragon has become a lot clearer.

Bryan Danielson To Be A Fighting AEW Champion

Bryan Danielson cited his AEW Title win as his favourite moment from his illustrious career while he confirmed he has not been under an AEW contract since August 1st and that he’ll need neck surgery sooner rather than later.

Despite all of that, Danielson revealed he would not be retiring as a champion and opened the door on a first come, first served basis to those in the AEW locker room to challenge him for the gold. However, the AEW World Champion did note that when he lost the title, then his full-time, in-ring career was over.

Danielson will have both Darby Allin and Christian Cage to contend with in the future as both men hold a guaranteed shot at the AEW World Title.
