Bryan Danielson Claims He Chose AEW Over Lifetime WWE Job
Bryan Danielson has shared an emotional address with fans ahead of his AEW Title match at WrestleDream but made one promise for the pay-per-view.
On the five-year anniversary of Dynamite, Bryan Danielson risked his full-time career for the chance to capture the AEW Continental Championship and find out once and for all who the better man was with Kazuchika Okada.
Time ran out on Bryan Danielson to win the Continental Title as it was only on the line for the first 20 minutes of their bout but the American Dragon claimed victory after Okada was distracted by members of the Blackpool Combat Club.
The BCC turned on Danielson at All Out and their confrontation with Danielson led to a huge tag team match being made pitting AEW champions against each other.
Bryan Danielson Thanks Crowd That Made Him A WrestleMania Main Eventer
After Dynamite went off the air, Bryan Danielson shared a moment with the fans in Pittsburgh where he thanked them for their support over the years as well as Tony Khan and the men and women in the locker room that make AEW the best wrestling company on the planet:
First of all, I’d like to thank Tony Khan without whom, AEW wouldn’t be here. You wouldn’t have an alternative. It is better that AEW exists for the wrestlers, for the production people, and for professional wrestling fans.
I first wrestled in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 23 years ago. And I don’t know if you guys remember, but you were the crowd that made me into a WrestleMania main eventer. So I just wanted to say: Thank you, Pittsburgh.
And last but certainly not least, I want to thank all of the men and women in the back because they’re the ones who made this place so great that I had a lifetime job at WWE and I chose – I chose – to come here because there were the best wrestlers in the world, the best fans in the world, and this is the best wrestling company in the world.
Now next week check out WrestleDream because at WrestleDream in Tacoma, Washington I am gonna kick Jon Moxley’s f***ing head in!
