Bryan Danielson Set For BCC Tag Team Battle

Bryan Danielson

The Blackpool Combat Club has finally exploded as Bryan Danielson has found a partner to take on his former teammates on AEW’s Title Tuesday.

Bryan Danielson retained his AEW World Championship against Jack Perry at All Out but if the celebrations after his All In win were heartwarming, the aftermath in Chicago was anything but.

Surrounded by Wheeler Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, Marina Shafir, and Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson was attacked by the Blackpool Combat Club with Moxley trying to suffocate the champion by putting a plastic bag over his head. PAC held Wheeler Yuta to stop him defending Danielson and he has had an uneasy relationship with the rest of the group ever since.

Yuta did what was asked of him when he defended the AEW Trios Title with PAC and Claudio Castagnoli at Collision Grand Slam but on the five-year anniversary of Dynamite, Yuta had enough.

Bryan Danielson & Wheeler Yuta To Team In Washington

Bryan Danielson defeated Kazuchika Okada to retain his AEW World Title on the show but was immediately confronted by the Blackpool Combat Club. Before any attack could happen, however, Wheeler Yuta made his way to the ring with a hammer to defend the American Dragon.

Yutao told Castagnoli and PAC that if they wanted to get to Danielson they’d have to go through him before Danielson suggested a tag team match for the special Title Tuesday edition of Dynamite on October 8th.

That match will take place just a few days before Bryan Danielson defends his AEW World Championship against Jon Moxley at WrestleDream in his home state of Washington. Danielson has made clear that when he loses his title his full-time wrestling career will be over.
