Bryan Danielson Announces AEW Return
After a two-month absence, Bryan Danielson has announced that he is cleared to return to action and will compete on this week’s AEW Dynamite.
Bryan Danielson hasn’t been seen in the ring since AEW Double or Nothing on May 29th. There, The American Dragon teamed with Jon Moxley, Eddie Kingston, Santana and Ortiz in a war against the Jericho Appreciation Society.
The star revealed ahead of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door that he was not medically cleared to compete in his much-anticipated match against Zack Sabre Jr., leading to the AEW debut of Claudio Castagnoli in his place.
Now, however, Bryan Danielson has given an altogether more positive update. During the AEW panel at San Diego Comic-Con on July 23rd, he announced that not only is he cleared to return to the ring, but it will happen on this week’s Fight For The Fallen edition of Dynamite.

Danielson will face the Jericho Appreciation Society’s Daniel Garcia on the show and has promised to “kick his f**ing head in.
“That’s very convenient, so Wednesday I’ll be wrestling Daniel Garcia and I’m going to kick his f***ing head in!”
Beyond the match with Garcia, Bryan Danielson has been looking at potential future opponents. Before the Barbed Wire Everywhere match between Eddie Kingston and Chris Jericho on the July 20th edition of Dynamite, Danielson tweeted he wanted to kick both men’s heads in.
“One of these men takes credit for injuring me and the other one is the man I actually blame for it. Excited to see them destroy each other… and when I get back I’ll kick both their heads in”
As well as the return of Bryan Danielson, Fight For The Fallen will also feature Rush challenging John Moxley for the Interim AEW World Championship and TJPW’s Miyu Yamashita battling Thunder Rosa with the AEW Women’s World Championship on the line.
