Brutal Paul Heyman Attack Breaks WWE Record

Paul Heyman Solo Sikoa WWE

Paul Heyman was destroyed on WWE SmackDown and it drew some big numbers for the company.

The Madison Square Garden edition of WWE Smackdown was a rough night for the Wise Man, Paul Heyman.

In the main event of the show, the self-proclaimed new “Tribal Chief” Solo Sikoa held an Acknowledgement Ceremony with the members of his group. That led to Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu acknowledging Solo as their Tribal Chief.

When Solo wanted Heyman to acknowledge Solo as the Tribal Chief, Heyman said he loved Solo “and I acknowledge that you are NOT my Tribal Chief!” The fans cheered loudly at Heyman’s statement. A teary-eyed Heyman was very emotional as Solo hit Heyman with a Samoan Spike to the throat. Jacob Fatu also went up top and jumped off the top with a headbutt to Heyman’s left shoulder.

After the attack in the ring, the Solo-led version of The Bloodline gave Heyman a triple Powerbomb through the commentary table.

It has been announced by WWE that the clip of Heyman going through the table has over 60 Million+ views across all WWE social platforms. Currently, it has the most social views of any show segment (RAW, SD, NXT) post Wrestlemania 40.

AEW’s Chris Jericho Believes Paul Heyman Is A Genius

While they don’t work together anymore, Chris Jericho had a long history with Heyman going back to Heyman was running ECW in the mid-1990s and later in the 2000s when they both worked together in WWE.

Recently, Jericho explained why he thinks Paul Heyman is a genius.

“Not just in the ring, but behind the scenes too, Paul is just one of those guys. He gets it. He’s a genius, but he also knows how to play the game. He knows how to play the wrestling business game. I mean, that’s a first ballot Hall of Famer for me. He knows exactly what to do to tell the story. He knows exactly what to do to build his guys.”

“Whoever he attaches himself to becomes a better performer and a bigger star. He’s just one of those guys. He’s very smart. He’ll be in the business until he’s 80 years old if he chooses to be and he started when he was 15. So definitely a no-brainer for the Hall of Fame and like I said, one of my favorite characters I’ve ever met in the wrestling business.”

The 58-year-old Heyman is likely going to be off WWE TV for several weeks and his return could also lead to Roman Reigns coming back to confront this new version of The Bloodline.
