Bronson Reed Injury Caused Big Changes To Saturday Night’s Main Event
A big Bronson Reed match has been scrapped.
At Survivor Series, Bronson Reed teamed with the New Bloodline against CM Punk, The Usos, Roman Reigns, and Sami Zayn. Although his team lost out, the WarGames match might be best remembered in years to come for Reed’s jump from the top of the cage.
The Aussie star had been aiming for Reigns who was lying on a table, but the former World Champion was saved by CM Punk.
As a result of the dive, Reed suffered a broken foot, putting him out of action.
The news was followed by a report that confirmed Bronson Reed had undergone surgery on his foot but with an unfortunate caveat. The star is now expected to miss WrestleMania 41 due to the injury.
The news will be a big blow for Reed who has enjoyed the most impressive year of his career to date with WWE. It also means that across his two stints with the company to date, Reed is yet to compete at WrestleMania.
Bronson Reed Injury Causes Big Changes
In the days after Survivor Series it was reported that Drew McIntyre’s return to Raw was bumped up because of Reed’s injury. However, a further report has revealed even more creative changes had to be made.
As reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Reed had been scheduled to face long-time rival Seth Rollins at Saturday Night’s Main Event. However, the match was dropped with Drew McIntyre vs. Sami Zayn added to the card instead.
Johnson added that while Roman Reigns, Bianca Belair, and Seth Rollins had been advertised locally ahead of the event previously, the trio have now all been removed.
