12 WWE stars were whittled down to 1 on Raw as Bron Breakker now knows who’s challenging him next for his Intercontinental Championship.

Bron Breakker has been hugely impressive since joining the WWE main roster and reached new heights at SummerSlam when he defeated Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Title. Recently a tournament has taken place on Raw with twelve stars being given the chance to be the next to challenge Breakker for his gold.

That tournament kicked off on the 26th of August edition of Raw with two triple threat matches taking place. Jey Uso and Pete Dunne picked up the victories to advance to a fatal four-way match to take place on the 9th of September edition of Raw where the winner will get a shot at Breakker’s title.

They were joined Braun Strowman who replaced Bronson Reed in a triple threat bout with Ludwig Kaiser and Sheamus as well as Ilja Dragunov who saw off Dragon Lee and Dominik Mysterio.

On Raw in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, the fatal four-way match took place with Bronson Reed returning to the show to take out Braun Strowman after his absence let Strowman in the tournament in the first place. Ultimately, it was Jey Uso who won the bout but there was not much time for celebrations as Bron Breakker instantly confronted his new number one contender to remind him who the champion was.

No date has been set for the Intercontinental Title match between Breakker and Uso but Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio he does not expect it to take place at the upcoming Bad Blood premium live event at the beginning of October.
