Bron Breakker Addresses WWE Future After Royal Rumble Debut
Bron Breakker has clarified his future after a dominant performance during the 2024 Royal Rumble match.
The 26 year-old son of WWE Hall Of Famer Rick Steiner has become a mainstay in NXT since debuting in September 2021, going on to hold the NXT Championship on two occasions.
Breakker made his Royal Rumble debut at Tropicana Field on 27th January, entering the match at number 20 before eliminating Finn Balor, Omos, Jimmy Uso and Ivar during his five minute stay in the bout. He was eventually dumped out by Judgment Day member ‘Dirty’ Dominik Mysterio.
Speaking in a WWE Royal Rumble Exclusive, Breakker revealed that he was not done with the Judgment Day:
“I feel very grateful right now. I feel what an opportunity tonight was for me to make a statement, and I thought I did that tonight 100%. Things didn’t go my way but I’m not done with the Judgement Day by any means.”
Breakker was then questioned about his immediate WWE future and was firm in his belief that his work should now take place on the main roster in WWE:
“I think tonight I proved that I belong in the main roster, this is my home now. I’m ready for the work, I’m ready to prove to my peers and to the people, everyone out there who believes in me that this is where I belong and this is what I was born to do. I’m here. I’m ready to go.”
Bron Breakker Replaced Brock Lesnar In The 2024 Royal Rumble
Dave Meltzer revealed on a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that Breakker was a direct replacement for Brock Lesnar in the 2024 Royal Rumble.
Lesnar was seemingly withdrawn from the event, however, after a lawsuit brought against Vince McMahon also referenced a ‘former UFC Heavyweight Champion with whom WWE was actively trying to sign to a new contract’ at the time of the alleged offences.
