Bron Breakker Wants To Retire WWE Legend
Bron Breakker wants to take down one of WWE’s biggest stars.
Ever since John Cena announced he’ll retire in 2025, Bron Breakker has been doing his best to provoke the 16-time World Champion.
After saying it would be “great” to face the star, Bron Breakker told him to “grow some balls” and challenge for his newly won Intercontinental Title.
Interestingly, although very limited, the pair do have a history dating back to Breakker’s time in NXT. The upstart talked trash to Cena on an episode of the show back in October and ended up narrowly escaping an AA.
During a new interview with the Daily Star, Breakker said getting to retire Cena would be his ultimate dream match.
“I think the only fitting match that comes to mind for me is to retire John Cena, because I mean he’s going on a farewell tour from what I know. I don’t know how long he’s going to be around and stuff, or what his schedule is, but if he wants to come back and have the best possible match with the most elite talent that there is to work with that he hasn’t worked with yet that’s me. There is no one else.
So if he wants to get in there and mix it up with the best of the best of the next generation, that’s going to … next five, ten years … going to step up and be leaders for this locker room, it’s me.”
Bron Breakker Is The Future
Off the back of their wins at SummerSlam, Booker T hailed Bron Breakker and Gunther as the “future of the business.” The second-generation star is yet to be pinned on the main roster, after a glittering run in NXT where he won the NXT Title twice.
Breakker’s Intercontinental Title win was his first taste of championship gold, while Gunther winning the World Heavyweight Championship cemented him as one of WWE’s biggest stars.
