Bron Breakker Plans To End WWE Trend
Bron Breakker is ready to put an end to a WWE trend that upsets him.
The WWE World Championship will be on the line in the main event of the first Monday Night Raw episode of 2026 as CM Punk defends the gold against Bron Breakker on January 5th.
It’s a highly anticipated Raw match on the one-year anniversary of when Raw began on Netflix in January 2025.
The Punk-Breakker match was set up over a month ago because Breakker beat Punk in the Men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series, thanks to an assist from the masked man, who turned out to be The Vision’s Austin Theory.
While speaking to The Takedown on SI, the 28-year-old Breakker spoke about how he was looking to be WWE’s first World Champion under the age of 30 in over a decade.
“It’s embarrassing. I’m a young guy and we got 80 year-olds. It makes me want to take them all out. Make sure they never come back here, because they’ve already had 20 years to get their point across and they still haven’t gotten it across. I’ll beat the hell out of all of them.”
CM Punk is 47 years old, so he’s not nearly 80, as Breakker suggests; he’s nearly 20 years older. Breakker’s comments are also likely in character to some degree.
Bron Breakker Was Always Going To Lead The Vision
When The Vision was formed in April 2025, with Seth Rollins leading the way, joined by Breakker and Hall of Famer Paul Heyman, Breakker was in the role of an understudy of sorts. By October, when Rollins suffered a shoulder injury, Breakker took out Rollins (Bron had help from Bronson Reed, too), and Breakker has taken more of a leadership role since then. According to Breakker, this was always his plan.
“I was going to be in this position anyway. I’m not here because of someone else’s shortcomings. It was inevitable that I was going to be at this point. It did not matter at whose expense it had to be at. So, sucks to suck Seth, it really does.”
Bron Breakker also dismissed the idea that somebody other than him would be in the position he’s in as the future of WWE.
“Who the hell else is it going to be other than me? I’m on everything. I’m the fastest and the strongest. I have the best looking physique that we’ve got. Name somebody else doing that like me and put them in front of me. I’ll take them out too, just to remind everybody that I’m the guy.”
