Furthermore, it has been reported that the global juggernaut’s future will be shaped by Brock Lesnar and his WrestleMania 42 opponent, if plans go according to what they are now.
The Beast’s last match in WWE was in Survivor Series WarGames as a part of the heels. Prior to that, he returned to battle John Cena at Wrestlepalooza in a winning effort.
Brock Lesnar’s retirement status after John Cena
It has been reported that WWE is planning retirement runs for AJ Styles, Brock Lesnar, and Chris Jericho, provided he returns next year. Dave Meltzer from Wrestling Observer Newsletter revealed that the idea of The Beast’s retirement in 2026 isn’t far-fetched. AJ Styles has verbally confirmed that he will retire in 2026, which Brock Lesnar hasn’t.
I do know the idea of [Brock] Lesnar retiring in 2026 is not far-fetched. It is absolutely something that was on the docket for this year, you know. Anything that far away, I mean, he hasn’t verbally committed to it or publicized it, unlike AJ [Styles], who’s been pretty clear he’s retiring this year. But, you know, I mean, there’s absolutely been the idea that this is Lesnar’s farewell tour, so to speak. I mean, he’s going to do his last series of matches that would end at some point this year.
If Brock Lesnar retires next year and WWE plans a retirement tour for him, there will be some legendary matches in the mix!
