WWE Removes Brock Lesnar From Opening Video (PHOTO)
Brock Lesnar continues to be erased by WWE following his alleged involvement with Vince McMahon.
In the days leading up to the WWE Royal Rumble event on January 27th, it was expected that former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar would be back in the ring for that match. Lesnar hasn’t wrestled since SummerSlam 2023, but the Rumble was supposed to be his return.
Fans who watched the Royal Rumble know that Lesnar never appeared in the match. That’s because Brock Lesnar’s planned appearance at the event was canceled due to Lesnar being linked to the Vince McMahon sex trafficking scandal as revealed in a lawsuit. That lawsuit came out just two days before the Rumble PLE took place.
While Lesnar wasn’t specifically named in the lawsuit against McMahon, the lawsuit filed by Janel Grant certainly implicated the former UFC Champion and WWE star.
Since then, it has been reported that WWE has removed Lesnar from all creative plans. Lesnar was also originally part of a 40 Years of WrestleMania graphic regarding the WWE 2K24 video game, but as you can see below, Lesnar has been removed from the game cover and replaced by John Cena along with others.
Brock Lesnar No Longer Featured In WWE Signature Open
Whenever a WWE program airs on television, there’s a signature open video that features videos/photos of some of the top names in the history of the company as well as soundbites with catchphrases as well. There is also John Cena’s voice saying “Then, Now, Together…Forever.”
During the WWE opening signature video, Brock Lesnar was one of the legends that was shown. However, “The Beast” is no longer there. In his place is rising WWE star LA Knight as you can see below.
