Brock Lesnar Removed From WWE Creative Plans

Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar might have wrestled his last WWE match.

Ahead of the Royal Rumble, it was reported that Brock Lesnar would be making his return to the ring at the event. Lesnar hasn’t wrestled since being defeated by Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam, but he was expected to feature at the Rumble to begin his run into WrestleMania.

However, Brock Lesnar’s planned appearance at the event was scrapped after he was named in a report linked to the Vince McMahon sex trafficking scandal. Although Lesnar wasn’t named in the lawsuit against McMahon by name, reports have indicated he’s the former UFC Champion and WWE star mentioned.

This has thrown Lesnar’s WWE future into doubt, with many fans believing it’s impossible for him to feature for the company again. Meanwhile, it’s been reported by Sean Ross Sapp that Lesnar has been removed from WWE’s creative plans.

Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer also reported that there are no plans to use Lesnar going forward. Meltzer added that he might be used again in the future, but it wouldn’t be for a long time.

“There are no plans at this time to use Lesnar. Given his star power, saying this is forever is probably foolish. But it’s likely not going to be any time soon. Lesnar has been the company’s first or second highest paid wrestler and one of its most protected stars for the past dozen years, and the fact he’s out of WrestleMania and his future is in jeopardy is amazing because of how little attention it’s gotten.”

Brock Lesnar Pulled From WWE Game

The report comes after Brock Lesnar was pulled from WWE Supercard by 2K.

PWInsider notes that Lesnar will be downplayed as much as possible by 2K and potentially other licensees in upcoming releases. WWE 2K24 is due to be released on March 8th, 2024.
