Brock Lesnar Has Moved Into Different Category Of WWE Superstars
A wrestling legend believes that Brock Lesnar isn’t a regular WWE superstar anymore.
Brock Lesnar has had one of the most unique careers in WWE history. The 10-time WWE World Champion started his career on the main roster in 2002, became the youngest WWE Champion ever at 25 years old, and then, after two years on the main roster, he decided it was time to move on.
Leaving WWE led to legal issues for Lesnar, but after a failed NFL tryout and success in the UFC, he returned to WWE in 2012.
Since his 2012 WWE return, Brock Lesnar has been a part-time superstar, usually wrestling fewer than 10 matches per year. After being kept away from the company for two years due to legal issues related to a lawsuit against Vince McMahon, Lesnar was brought back at SummerSlam this year to set up his Wrestlepalooza match against John Cena.
In his Wrestlepalooza match against John Cena, Brock Lesnar decimated the 17-time WWE Champion and won the match in under nine minutes. Lesnar dominated the match so much that he hit the F5 six times on his way to one of the most decisive victories of his Hall of Fame career.
Brock Lesnar Should Be Compared To Iconic WWE Superstars
While many fans complain about how Brock Lesnar doesn’t wrestle that often, WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff told the Action Network that Lesnar is in a different class now. According to the former WCW President Bischoff, Lesnar is an attraction in a similar way to Hall of Famers like Hulk Hogan and The Undertaker.
“Brock Lesnar is now in that Undertaker category. He’s an attraction. And I think attractions have always worked. Hulk Hogan was an attraction for a long time. Undertaker, clearly an attraction.
I think Brock’s role as an attraction is a solid one. I think it’s a valuable one. I think that we’ll see Brock throughout the year, a couple of times a year, similar to what we would expect to see from The Undertaker for the next couple of years.”
Brock Lesnar is scheduled to appear on the November 24th edition of WWE Monday Night Raw in Oklahoma City for the final Raw before Survivor Series on November 29th. Lesnar will be competing in the Men’s WarGames match for the first time this year.
WWE Survivor Series is on November 29th in San Diego. Here’s the lineup so far:
