Brock Lesnar Attack Led To Ex-WWE Star Changing Plans
A former WWE superstar was in so much pain after a segment with Brock Lesnar that he had to change plans on the fly.
When Brock Lesnar made his impactful WWE debut in April 2002, it was during a triple-threat Hardcore Match between Al Snow, Maven and Spike Dudley.
At the time, Lesnar was a complete unknown to the WWE Universe although he did have Paul Heyman at ringside with him. Lesnar would go on to give Snow a spinebuster through a trash can and also an F5 to Maven.
It wasn’t a fun night for Spike Dudley, who jumped off the top to hit Lesnar in the head, but that wasn’t very effective. Lesnar would go on to hit Spike with three straight massive Powerbombs. Heyman celebrated with Lesnar to put an end to the segment.
Former WWE superstar Spike Dudley appeared in a video for Maven’s YouTube channel recently where they recalled what it was like taking those moves from Lesnar. In Spike’s case, he changed plans on the fly due to how much pain he was in after taking three Powerbombs from Lesnar.
“This was the only time I ever tapped out. This was supposed to be five powerbombs. I could only handle three. You’ll see him go down for the fourth one, and I say, ‘No, I can’t do it anymore.'”
“I’ve never tapped out. I thought I could do it, but my head was a mess. This is the only time I’ve ever felt like a pu**y in the world of wrestling. I always hate watching this because I know it always makes the [highlight reels] Brock’s debut, and we’re on it for history, but I always look at it and cringe because I went, ‘I was such a pu**y.'”
Brock Lesnar’s WWE Return May Never Happen
The last time Brock Lesnar had a match in a WWE ring was at SummerSlam in August 2023 when he lost to Cody Rhodes. Lesnar was supposed to be back at the Royal Rumble, but it didn’t happen.
A lawsuit by former WWE employee Janel Grant against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE prevented Lesnar’s return. The lawsuit contained allegations of sexual assault and sex trafficking, and although he wasn’t named directly, Lesnar was also implicated. It was reported that the “former UFC Champion and WWE Superstar” mentioned in the filing is Lesnar.
It has been noted by the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer that “It’s not his decision to decide to come back, it is their decision on if they want him back and when..”
