Update On WWE’s Original Brock Lesnar-Bobby Lashley Plans
The beginning match of World Wrestling Entertainment’s Crown Jewel Premium Live Event was a battle of behemoths between Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley, which was the second time in WWE history that the two have fought each other, with the bout finishing controversially.
The rumor mill is now swirling that there will be a third match between the two to settle the score after Saturday, and according to speculation, WWE wanted to do that match at their Day 1 PLE.
Both former world champions, Brock Lesnar and Lashley opened up Crown Jewel giving fans a power contest for six minutes, and as expected by most, the finish didn’t give this feud a conclusion.
On the verge of suffering defeat, Brock Lesnar managed to get out of the Hurt Lock submission move and landed on Bobby Lashley, taking the surprising three-count win.
No one was more surprised than Lashley, who then took his frustrations out on an injured Lesnar before exiting the ring.
During Sunday’s Wrestling Observer Radio episode, Dave Meltzer reported:
“They are one and one now, and so there is a natural third match. I don’t know if they would save it for ‘Mania, you know, or when. Originally it was going to be Day 1. But obviously, that’s out.”
