Brock Lesnar Advertised For Another Major WWE Event
Brock Lesnar will be sticking around.
At Wrestlepalooza, Brock Lesnar beat John Cena in dominant fashion in what was advertised as the last ever meeting between the pair. For the occasion, Lesnar reunited with Paul Heyman, who delivered his famous introduction.
After beating Cena with six F-5s, Lesnar returned to the ring to deliver one more after the match, while also taking out the referee.
Although many expect Lesnar to now disappear from television, it seems he will be staying with the company, at least for the medium term. In the latest advertising on social media, Lesnar is featured on the poster for WrestleMania 42 alongside the likes of Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, Seth Rollins, and Becky Lynch.
Brock Lesnar Signed New WWE Deal
The position, perhaps, shouldn’t come as much of a surprise after it was confirmed that Brock Lesnar signed a new WWE contract in the lead-up to his return at SummerSlam. The star’s previous deal expired during his exile from the company, leaving him a free agent for several months. Time was unable to be added, as it was WWE’s decision not to use him on television.
It had previously been suggested that Lesnar had been under contract and paid in full between SummerSlam 2023 and SummerSlam 2025.
Following Wrestlepalooza, it was revealed that John Cena made the call to lose to Brock Lesnar at the event. The report noted that while the ultimate final say was with Triple H, he’s not likely to turn down ideas from Cena as he closes on retirement.
It’s been claimed that Cody Rhodes pitched to lose the Undisputed WWE Championship at the same event, but it was ultimately decided that he should keep the gold.
