Britt Baker’s AEW Status Revealed Amid WWE Rumours

Britt Baker AEW

Amid rumours that Britt Baker is trying to engineer her exit from AEW to make the jump to WWE, the truth has now been revealed.

Back in January, it was suggested that Tony Khan had become so fed up with Britt Baker that she may never wrestle for AEW again.

The report said Baker was widely unpopular in the locker room and was known to be difficult to work with. However, a later update disputed those claims. At that point, Baker hadn’t wrestled since the previous November, and fast forward to July, that hasn’t changed.

As speculation continues to ebb and flow, it was reported that Britt Baker is trying to get out of her AEW contract, with WWE believed to be waiting in the wings.

However, it seems this isn’t the case after all.

Britt Baker Not Looking For AEW Exit

Speaking on the Fightful Report, Sean Ross Sapp cleared up the confusion surrounding Baker and noted that she’s not looking to leave AEW:

There’s some confusion about Britt Baker’s status this week. She is not on her way out of AEW. She is not actively looking to leave AEW.

It seems Baker also has substantial time left on her current AEW deal as Sapp continued:

But right now, she has over a year left on her AEW contract, and with injury time, that could extend into 2027.

AEW All In Texas will hold a women’s Casino Gauntlet match, and many fans are hopeful that they could see Britt Baker return to the company as a surprise entrant in that match.
