Britt Baker’s AEW Return Date Revealed
Although she only returned to AEW after a lengthy absence at Forbidden Door, Britt Baker has already found herself at the centre of a backstage controversy.
According to a report from Dave Meltzer, the star was suspended for at least a week following a confrontation with MJF and his girlfriend Alicia Atout.
A further report from Fightful Select has now given an update on the situation and some of the details behind the spat. As reported by Fightful, Baker “exercised frustration about MJF within the women’s locker room” and word made its way back to the American Champion via Atout who was in the room.
This led to “confrontations” between Baker and Atout, and Baker and MJF. Following his interaction with Baker, MJF is said to have punched a wall.
Britt Baker Returning To AEW
However, it seems Britt Baker is not set for a prolonged absence from AEW as PWInsider has now reported that the former AEW Women’s World Champion is expected back on the 7th of August edition of Dynamite. It is not known if Baker will actually appear on the show but she is set to be present in Winston-Salem.
Baker’s absence was explained on television as a result of her actions at Comic Con when she confronted TBS Champion Mercedes Mone. Mone took great delight in flexing her relationship with EVPs The Young Bucks in making sure Baker wouldn’t be in attendance on the show.
