Britt Baker’s AEW Return Confirmed
Britt Baker is coming back.
After nine months out of action, Britt Baker made her huge return to AEW at Forbidden Door where she set her sights on Mercedes Mone.
This set up a storyline between the pair leading to a match at All In. When all was said and done it was Mone who grabbed the win, but the match received a mixed reaction from fans, something Mone even commented on in the days after the show.
While the TBS Champion quickly moved on to another title defence again Hikaru Shida at All Out, Baker disappeared from television.
The lead-up to the match at All In wasn’t without its fair share of controversy, following reports of a backstage incident involving Britt Baker and MJF.
Britt Baker Confirmed For Special AEW Dynamite
During Collision, a short vignette aired hyping Baker’s return on the special five-year anniversary special episode of Dynamite on October 2nd. On commentary, Tony Schiavone noted that Baker would be “in action” confirming she’ll wrestle on the show.
Although no opponent was named, later in the show Serena Deeb called out the former Women’s Champion.
In the only other match announced for the show so far, Ricochet will challenge Will Ospreay for the International Title.
