Britt Baker has recalled what storyline in pro wrestling made her become a fan of the world that she’s currently involved in.

Ever since joining All Elite Wrestling during the year it was created in 2019, Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. has been one of the biggest stars in the company, male or female. She’s also a dentist too, as she will like to remind people.

Some of the women on the AEW roster like Saraya, Toni Storm, Athena, Ruby Soho became household names after working for WWE on the main roster or NXT, but not Baker. She has really made a name for herself because of AEW.

At AEW Double or Nothing 2021, Baker won the AEW Women’s Title and held it for 290 days. She was also the female winner of the first-ever Women’s Owen Hart Cup winner in 2022.

During a recent interview with The Ringer, Baker named the WWE storyline that made her really become a pro wrestling fan in 2014. Baker is 31 now, so she was 23 years old when WrestleMania 30 happened.

“The first storyline that made me immensely obsessed with wrestling and gave me the bug to want to do something like this and want to do this because of how the story made me feel, it was the Bryan Danielson storyline at WrestleMania XXX. How the fans really decided the story line. To me, that was one of the coolest things in the world—that the entire wrestling universe got behind this one wrestler who was a massive underdog and should not have been in the spot he was in, but the fans made sure of it.”

“That was the coolest thing in the world to me, because there’s no other sport where the fans decide. In football, whoever has the most points wins, but in this sport, it’s really cool to see the effect that the fans have. It’s magical, really.”

Baker appeared on the December 7th edition of Dynamite to announce that she will team with AEW Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter against Saraya and a partner on the January 11th edition of Los Angeles. Baker is looking for revenge after losing to Saraya at Full Gear in what was Saraya’s first wrestling match in nearly seven years.
