Britt Baker Slams Thunder Rosa For Sounding Stupid

Britt Baker has attacked long-time rival Thunder Rosa for claiming that their feud is reminiscent of the rivalry between The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa have arguably had the biggest women’s rivalry in AEW’s short history.

The pair first clashed at Beach Break in February 2021 and then went to war at St Patrick’s Day Slam a month later. The Unsanctioned Lights Out match was the first women’s main event on an episode of Dynamite, and was widely praised.

The two continued their feud into 2022 with Thunder Rosa overcoming Baker in a Steel Cage Match to capture the AEW Women’s World Championship at St Patrick’s Day Slam.

Back in May, Thunder Rosa compared the rivalry to the classic feuds between Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock, as well as Trish Stratus and Lita. She explained that, much like those rivalries, her issues with Baker will never end.

However, during an interview with Sportskeeda, Britt Baker denied the comparisons saying that nothing she had done so far had been on that level. She then took a swipe at Rosa, claiming that when she speaks, something stupid comes out.

“No, I think Thunder Rosa should talk the least amount as possible in wrestling and in interviews and in everything and the world would be a better place because she sounds stupid all the time when she says anything. That’s what I think [Baker smiled]. No, I don’t compare myself to people like The Rock and [Steve] Austin or anything like that.

In-character, sure, I think I’m better. Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. is better than anybody but when we’re talking realistic storyline settings, I don’t think anything right now that I could do would be at that level. Someday? I hope so, maybe and I hope and pray that I can have that type of impact on the wrestling world but, Thunder Rosa, most of the time when she opens her mouth, something stupid comes out.”
