Britt Baker Lifts Lid On AEW Dynamite Absence

Britt Baker has revealed why she missed her scheduled match on AEW Dynamite.

Ahead of a special edition of AEW Dynamite on October 8th, it was announced that Britt Baker would square off against Willow Nightingale. The winner would then move on to WrestleDream to challenge Women’s Champion Mariah May.

However, ahead of the show it was revealed that Baker would be missing through illness. With AEW’s resident dentist out of action, the number one contender bout became a four-way match with Nightingale taking on Jamie Hayter, Nyla Rose, and Saraya.

When all was said and done it was Willow Nightingale who got the win, and she’ll now face Mariah May on October 12th.

Britt Baker Slams Conspiracy Theories

In a new video posted on social media, Baker revealed that she missed Dynamite after being diagnosed with strep throat. The former champion thanked fans for their concern before explaining that she’s taken antibiotics, an IV, and a shot to help her recovery after going to urgent care.

Baker added that she’s also had trouble getting supplies like gas and water due to Hurricane Milton. As she expected to be in Washington with AEW, she didn’t stock up as she would have usually done in this situation.

The star didn’t give any indication about when she would be back, although she did have a simple message for those who claim she isn’t sick: “To all the weirdos with your conspiracy theories, f**k off.”
