Bryan Danielson’s retirement will have a major impact.

Should Bryan Danielson fail to win the AEW World Championship in the main event of All In, he’s promised to retire from professional wrestling. Even if the American Dragon wins, his retirement from full-time competition is just around the corner.

Heading into the match, Danielson has been open about needing neck surgery while seemingly accepting that his wrestling career is almost over.

During an appearance on Close Up With Renee Paquette, Danielson’s wife Brie Garcia discussed feeling conflicted as she knows just how much wrestling means to him.

“We’ll sit in bed and have so many ideas about how to change a storyline or whatever it may be. That’s when I look at him and I’m like ‘I know your love, I know your passion and I will never take that away. I know the kids will never want to take it away.’ That’s why tonight I’m just like… I don’t know which way I’ll be cheering.

Yes, I know I’ve always wanted my husband to be home more, but at the same time I’ve been with him, and all we’ve ever known together is wrestling, and I don’t know if I want to see that end for him.”

AEW Changed Bryan Danielson’s Plans

Meanwhile, it’s been reported that AEW had to alter its plans for Bryan Danielson given his injury struggles. The report suggested that Danielson’s path to All In was set by the Spring, but doctors prevented him from competing in Blood & Guts.

The report also noted that should Danielson continue to wrestle beyond All In, he could be less active than previously hoped.
