Bret Hart Shares His True Opinion Of John Cena

Bret Hart John Cena

Outspoken WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart has explained how he really feels about 17-time world champion John Cena.

John Cena’s WWE career began in 2002, sadly, after Bret Hart had been forced to hang up his boots following an errant kick from Goldberg that led to severe concussion issues. However, improbably, the two men considered by many to be among the greatest ever to grace the ring were able to team up on three occasions when Hart made a brief comeback to WWE in 2010.

They were on the same side for the Team WWE vs. Nexus match at SummerSlam and teamed again in what was Hart’s final match when they defeated Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez on Raw.

And it seems The Hitman has some regrets about not working more with John Cena.

Bret Hart Is A Big Fan Of John Cena

Speaking at a live Johnny I Pro Show, Bret Hart gave his honest opinion on John Cena, and it could be summed up in one word: professional.

John Cena would be up [there]. Can you imagine John Cena with the US/Canada thing that I had going? Hypothetically, say the Screwjob never happened and I was still in the WWF; that would have happened. I would have worked with John Cena, and we would have done amazing stuff.

I’ve always been really impressed by John Cena. I’ll just say this: when I went back there in 2010, I found John Cena to be very comparable to me in the sense that he was a serious professional. He was a detail guy who went over every little detail in the match. I remember watching him go over the match with different wrestlers and being around him. I remember going, “That’s what I used to do.”

I found John Cena to be just such a professional. I would have loved to have worked with him.
