Bray Wyatt Claims The Fiend Is Done – “It’s Gone Forever”
Bray Wyatt has explained why he believes that The Fiend character that he used to portray in WWE is gone forever.
In the opinion of Bray Wyatt, his alter ego known as The Fiend is a character that died several years ago and he’s not coming back any time soon.
It was in 2019 when Bray Wyatt started changing as a character. He slowly became this horrendous-looking monster that had a mask on his face and it was known as The Fiend. He was born out of the Firefly Fun House vignettes that WWE aired. Eventually, Wyatt started wrestling as The Fiend.
During Bray Wyatt’s run as The Fiend, he won the WWE Universal Championship twice. He also lost the Universal Championship to Goldberg, which fans absolutely hated because it definitely weakened the character.
At WrestleMania 37 in Tampa in 2021, Wyatt wrestled Randy Orton in a match that ended with Alexa Bliss appearing on a box with some mysterious black liquid that distracted Wyatt. Orton hit Wyatt with an RKO to win the feud. A few months later, Wyatt was released by WWE.
Since coming back to WWE in October 2022, Wyatt hasn’t portrayed The Fiend character although he has mentioned him in promos.
While speaking to Ryan Satin of Fox Sports, Wyatt claimed that The Fiend is gone forever.
“The Fiend died that day in Tampa, Florida at WrestleMania, to me. Again, The Fiend is not just a goof in a mask like people think. That’s just ridiculous. To me, it’s so much more, and once you see where all these things come from with how they molded me as a human being, but he died that day, and he can never be again.”
“It’s gone. Again, I don’t know how people will react to that, but in my head it’s gone forever.”
As we know from being pro wrestling fans, you can really “never say never” to something like that even though Bray Wyatt did explain why he doesn’t want The Fiend to come back.
