Bray Wyatt Wrestles First Match Since WWE Return
Bray Wyatt has made a surprise return to action at WWE’s Holiday Show in Madison Square Garden.
Since Bray Wyatt returned to WWE at Extreme Rules on October 8th, he has made multiple appearances on SmackDown and at Premium Live Events to speak to the audience about how he has changed his ways since his days as The Fiend. Much of the time, he is interrupted by the mysterious Uncle Howdy, who has accused Wyatt of being a liar who really wants to hurt people.
Recently, he has become more physical, having had altercations with LA Knight. However, a match between the pair is yet to be announced and Wyatt hasn’t wrestled at all since WrestleMania 37 where he was defeated by Randy Orton. That is, until now.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that WWE’s Holiday Show in Madison Square Garden saw Jinder Mahal make an impromptu open challenge and Bray Wyatt accepted the offer. The match was a short affair with the two fighting on the outside before Wyatt hit a Sister Abigail for the win once they got in the ring.
Johnson also noted that the original plan for the event was likely for Bray Wyatt clash with LA Knight. However, he was a victim of travel issues caused by a winter storm that led to a lot of stars being unable to make the show.
It has been speculated that Bray Wyatt’s first televised bout since returning will be the Pitch Black Match being advertised for the Royal Rumble on January 28th.
