Brandi Rhodes Responds To WrestleMania 39 Ending

Brandi Rhodes

Cody Rhodes failed to dethrone Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 39 and now Brandi Rhodes has given her thoughts on the tough loss.

Many believed the stage was set in Los Angeles for the man whose father nicknamed him “Hollywood” to finish his story and capture the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship but to the shock of many, it was not to be.

Rhodes made a grand entrance as the fans in LA sang his song before The American Nightmare went to see his wife and sister at ringside before taking his daughter in his arms in a heart-warming moment. Rhodes also handed over his weightlifting belt to the late Brodie Lee’s son, Brodie Jr. – best known as AEW’s Negative One.

Despite all of this Rhodes was stopped in his tracks as he attempted to hit a third Cross Rhodes on Roman Reigns by Solo Sikoa – who had previously been ejected from ringside – with a Samoan Spike which allowed Reigns to hit a Spear and pick up another win.

Taking to social media, Brandi Rhodes borrowed a line from Cody’s theme song as she reflected on the tough loss for her husband:

“Hard times breed better men.”

WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H also gave his side of keeping the title on Roman Reigns as he attempted to explain the controversial ending to the show.
