Brand New AEW Title A Dream For This Star

One AEW star is relishing the prospect of a brand new championship being introduced to the company.

The prospect of AEW launching a women’s tag team title resurfaced after a report revealed that the company has already had belts made for such a championship.

But the prospect of this title has one recently returned AEW star licking their lips.

Tay Melo Hoping For New AEW Gold

Speaking to Denise Salcedo at AnimeVerse Fest, Tay Melo revealed that if AEW does introduce women’s tag team title, then she’ll be going after them with her long-time partner Anna Jay:

I’m definitely happy to be back with Anna. Looking forward for what’s going to happen in AEW with me. I don’t know much, but I’m so happy. I have been reading about the titles, the tag titles, so maybe it’s in the future — who knows? TayJay is here and we’re waiting for it. We have been working together since day one. So it’s a dream for us. If it happens, we’re here and we’re coming for it.

Tay Melo recently returned to AEW after more than two years on the sidelines. Melo made her comeback to help out Anna Jay, who was stuck in a two-on-one battle against Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford.
