Booker T Names Future Of WWE Despite Star “Not Being The Best Wrestler”

Booker T has made a bold prediction.

For a long time, Trick Williams has been viewed as a rising star in WWE and someone who can make a big impact on the main roster. However, while others have been called up, the TNA World Champion remains in NXT.

Despite that, one WWE Hall of Famer thinks Williams is still destined for the very top of WWE.

In a new interview with Esports Insider, NXT commentator Booker T threw his support behind Williams while admitting that the star isn’t the best wrestler in the company. However, he explained that it isn’t necessarily a barrier to success.

Trick Williams is the future of this company. He’s my guy. I see myself in Trick,” said Booker. “Every time I’d see him in TNA, he came out dressed like me when I was in TNA and doing the Black Snow. He wore the whole gimmick and everything. He’s always paying tribute to me; he even uses some of my terminology.

He’s not the greatest wrestler in the world, but you don’t have to be the greatest wrestler in the world to be the biggest star; you just have to be a really good performer. I think that’s what Trick has picked up on more than anything, on how to go out there and be a really great performer and make fans watch you for so many different reasons than they watch the other wrestlers.”

Booker T Says WWE Star Deserves Championship Gold

On an earlier episode of his podcast, Booker T explained why he feels it’s time to make Stephanie Vaquer the Women’s World Champion. According to Booker, Vaquer is “money” and has the potential to become the company’s next major female crossover star.

Vaquer is set to meet Iyo Sky at Wrestlepalooza to battle over the vacant Women’s World Title.

Naomi won the title back at Evolution after cashing in her Money In The Bank contract. However, she gave up the title on August 18 after announcing that she’s expecting her first child.

Interestingly, Stephanie Vaquer missed the September 8 edition of Raw despite being advertised for the show. According to a report after the show, even the talent backstage were confused by her absence. But crucially, her match with Sky remains on.
