Booker T is not planning to be at WWE’s 30th anniversary of Raw celebration and he recently explained why on his podcast.

Some of the legends that WWE has advertised for Raw’s 30th anniversary from tonight in Philadelphia include: The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Triple H (obviously), Kurt Angle, Road Dogg, X-Pac, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Jerry “The King” Lawler, Teddy Long, and Ron Simmons. There are many others as well.

Booker T is not advertised to appear even though he’s a two-time WWE Hall of Famer, he’s a six-time former World Champion and one of the most decorated tag team wrestlers ever including his run with his brother Stevie Ray as Harlem Heat.

Since retiring as a wrestler in the last decade, Booker has opened his own wrestling school called Reality of Wrestling, he’s also on the commentary team for NXT since last fall and he’s a part of WWE’s pre-show panel on the company’s Premium Live Event broadcasts.

On today’s episode of Booker T’s Hall of Fame podcast, he explained why he was going to miss Raw’s 30th-anniversary episode.

“I’m right here at home. Unless they’re going to send a jet to pick me up and get me there quick, I will not be at RAW XXX tonight. I got NXT tomorrow and I definitely have to be prepared for that. We got the Rumble on Saturday and I’m ready for the kickoff show. I have a lot of stuff going on. I wish I could be at RAW XXX tonight.”

As he continued, Booker T spoke about how he had plans to hang out with Ric Flair at Raw XXX as well while dismissing a report that he was going to be there.

“My man is going to be there. My man, Ric Flair is going to be there. We already had made plans. Me and Ric was going to meet at the bar last night and the party was going to be on, but I can’t make it.”

“I’m not going to be there. That’s some bad information. I don’t know where my man got his information from, but that is some bad information. I won’t be at RAW XXX. This is the first time I’ve missed one of the anniversary shows in quite some time actually.”
