Booker T Teases Match With WWE Star Following In-Ring Comeback

Booker T wants a match with one of WWE’s most popular rising stars.

At Reality Of Wrestling Battle To The Bell, Booker T returned to the ring for the first time in January 2023. Not only that, he managed to pick up the win over Zilla Fatu thanks to a helping hand from TNA star AJ Francis.

The bout was Booker’s first singles match in six years, with his most recent action coming in the form of a short cameo in the 2023 Royal Rumble Match.

However, his Reality of Wrestling outing might not be his last action in 2025.

Booker T Looking For Special Match With NXT Star

Speaking during a recent episode of his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker said 2025 could be the year he finally gets in the ring with Trick Williams. But, he needs to overcome a nagging knee issue to make it happen.

“I’d love to do something with Trick Williams. I think that would be something really, really cool in 2025 if I could muster up the old gas to actually be able to go out there and get something done. The thing is, my right knee’s been killing me.

If I can get my right knee to work for me, 2025 could be that year for me to get something done with Trick Williams. I know he wants to do it. He’s been texting me, he’s been goading me, trying to get me into a match. So nah, man, to be able to get in there with that kid would be special. It really would,”

On the January 14th edition of NXT, Booker T and Vic Joseph will be calling the action without Corey Graves. The announcer returned to the show a week ago and it appeared he’d been removed from SmackDown. However, after criticising WWE on social media, it’s been reported that he’s been pulled from NXT and was seen leaving Orlando, Florida where the show is taped.
