Booker T Claims Injury Played Role In WWE Star’s Exit
WWE Hall of Famer Booker T thinks injury may have had a lot to do with a recent star’s exit from the company.
Jazmyn Nyx was recently written off WWE TV before she announced she was leaving the company. It later came to light that Nyx and the company had been unable to agree on a new deal with the star indicating she was unhappy with the money on offer.
But could injury have also had something to do with her decision to walk away from WWE?
Booker T Sympathetic To Jazmyn Nyx
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, NXT commentator Booker T explained why he thinks Nyx’s four knee surgeries could have played a role in her exit, as it no doubt set back her development in the ring:
My thing is, you’ve gotta respect, you’ve gotta understand where she’s coming from. She was probably making some money over there doing the soccer thing, probably was making some money with the modeling deal also that she was doing. I respect that.
Also, you’ve gotta look at yourself. How much time had Jazmyn been on television? If I’m not mistaken, I think she said she had four knee surgeries, and I think she said she had a broken nose. That’s a lot of time not in the gym trying to figure this thing out.
Not saying she wasn’t a quick learner or anything like that, but I’m gonna tell you right now, injury is your worst enemy in this business. Time off is your worst enemy in this business. It really, truly is.
So, for someone like Jazmyn who hadn’t even gotten a real run, to have had four knee surgeries in NXT‘s program… four knee surgeries is gonna set just about anybody back. And that’s gonna screw your money up a little bit.
