Despite Speculation Booker T Has No Interest In Managing WWE Stars

Booker T will be staying put.

Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill are currently flying high after winning the Women’s Tag Team Titles at Backlash. The pair have been impressing crowds since first teaming up at WrestleMania 40, and remain undefeated as a duo.

Some fans have suggested their success is reminiscent of that enjoyed by Harlem Heat back in the 1990s in WCW, commenting that Booker T — who was part of the famous team, could even be their manager.

During a recent episode of his Hall of Fame Podcast, Booker explained that while he likes the idea, he’s content to watch the pair from afar.

“I love the idea, man. But I don’t want to be managing nobody, I really don’t. I love Bianca and Jade, and both of them wearing that fire red [gear] definitely made me feel something special about my time with Harlem Heat. Just watching those two, man, they’re a very dynamic duo. But no, I don’t want to manage anybody.

I love watching it from an outside perspective. I like being able to watch it. I don’t want to be on the road, I don’t want to travel going from city to city. I don’t want to do that anymore, I really don’t. I’m happy, I’m content, just doing NXT and being part of the NXT crew.”

Booker T Has Theory On Gable Steveson’s WWE Failure

In an earlier episode, Booker T gave his thoughts on Gable Steveson being released by WWE. Steveson had joined WWE with great fanfare, but he failed to live up to the hype and was released having wrestled just one match on television.

The WWE Hall of Famer said Steveson’s desire to continue to compete as an amateur wrestler while training with WWE likely held him back.
