Booker T Critical Of Recent Bret Hart Comments

Bret Hart has been causing a stir.

In recent days, Bret Hart has been making headlines for his typically forthright opinions on pro wrestling and a whole raft of wrestlers themselves.

This included a now customary jab at Goldberg, calling out Sheamus for not being able to throw a proper punch, while calling Hulk Hogan and Jake Roberts “pieces of sh*t.” Hart’s issues with Hogan and Roberts stem from his feeling that neither man did anything to try to elevate the next generation of talent during their in-ring careers.

However, Hart was much more positive when it came to John Cena, describing him as the ultimate professional and someone he could have done “amazing stuff” with during their respective peaks.

Booker T Questions Bret Hart Comments

On the latest episode of his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T gave his thoughts on the latest cutting comments from Hart. The NXT commentator said that while he understands that Hart’s issues with Goldberg run deep, he doesn’t believe he stepped in the ring trying to hurt The Hitman.

“Bret Hart has been all over the place lately. It’s like, everything nuclear, everything’s just… burn, let everything burn. Why? I mean, I know Bret Hart had his issues with Goldberg, and those, those issues are deep rooted for what happened inside the ring.

But one thing I must say, stuff that happens in the ring, it happens. I don’t think none of us go out in the middle of the ring and try to hurt somebody on purpose or anything like that.”

Booker went on to say that Hart is “a much better person” than he’s shown with his latest comments.

“Some of this stuff you just can’t walk back,” Booker T warned. “You’re going to see, we got to see each other at some point in time. And to not be able to relive some of the greatest moments in the history of this business, because of bitterness…

It’s got to be a lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely, dark day at the end of this ride. And I just say, I just think Bret Hart’s a much, much better person than the person that we’ve been seeing as of late. I know he is.”
