Why Has Bobby Lashley’s AEW Debut Been Delayed?
Bobby Lashley continues to loom large in AEW.
At Dynamite Grand Slam, MVP made his AEW debut following weeks of ever-increasing speculation. The star was quickly joined on-screen by Shelton Benjamin and plans to reinvent the Hurt Business are well underway.
The debuts came after it was reported that the duo, along with Bobby Lashley had been in talks with AEW. Since then it’s become something of an open secret that Lashley will become All Elite, but a big anniversary show and now WrestleDream have passed without an appearance.
At WrestleDream, MVP did his best to recruit Swerve Strickland enticing him away from Prince Nana, but his pleas fell on deaf ears.
AEW Holding Off On Bobby Lashley

The Bobby Lashley return angle was delayed to allow for it to stand out, as AEW felt they had enough big angles at WrestleDream and didn’t want it to be lost in the shuffle.
AEW WrestleDream went off the air in front of a stunned crowd after Jon Moxley ended the World Title run and full-time career of Bryan Danielson. Not only did Moxley grab the win, he convinced Wheeler Yuta to betray Danielson and ensured his former friend left the arena on a stretcher.
It was a night of betrayals as Kyle Fletcher turned his back on Will Ospreay to help Konosuke Takeshita win the International Title.
