Bobby Lashley Hints At In-Ring Return As AEW Rumours Grow

Wrestling fans haven’t seen the last of Bobby Lashley.

With the star now a lot closer to 50 than 40, fans could perhaps be forgiven for thinking Bobby Lashley’s departure from WWE might signal the end of his in-ring career. But it seems those fans couldn’t be more wrong.

Lashley’s departure from WWE was confirmed on August 16th, after the star had already announced he’d be making his boxing debut against an unnamed opponent in the coming months. However, he quickly added that this didn’t mean his wrestling career was over.

To hammer that point home, Lashley has shared a new post on Instagram with him holding several wrestling titles with the caption “The journey is far from over…”

Bobby Lashley In Talks With AEW

The post comes after it was reported that Bobby Lashley, MVP, and Shelton Benjamin have held talks with AEW. However, there’s no word on whether a deal has been signed or is even close.

In recent weeks, MVP has been trademarking several phrases and names for wrestling use, while a group listed as Totally Harmless Concept LLC filed to trademark “The Hurt Syndicate.” Lashley, MVP, Benjamin, and Cedric Alexander were famously known as The Hurt Business while with WWE.

However, if the group does continue in AEW it will do so without Alexander after he re-signed with WWE earlier in 2024.
