Blake Monroe Gets Tag Team Name With WWE Star

Blake Monroe is settling into her new WWE home, and now she’s even been given a tag team name with another top star.

On the June 17th edition of NXT, Blake Monroe signed her NXT contract, but that did not go off without incident. Monroe claimed NXT had the best women’s division in wrestling before she delved into sexual innuendo, drawing unflattering comparisons with her old AEW rival, Toni Storm.

Fatal Influence then made their presence felt, led by NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne. Jayne tore into Monroe, which led to the WWE newcomer pie-faced Jayne. Fatal Influence had the numbers advantage, however, and they attacked Monroe, putting her through a table and leaving her lying as Jayne posed with her title to end the night.

Blake Monroe Gives Jordynne Grace The Glamour

This has led to Blake Monroe teaming with Jordynne Grace to take on Jayne and Fallon Henley in a tag team match at NXT Great American Bash. On the July 8th edition of NXT, Monroe and Grace were seen in several skits as Monroe tried to bring the glamour out of her partner. It was in these that Monroe introduced the portmanteau tag team name of ‘The Glamournauts’, bringing together their nicknames of The Glamour and The Juggernaut.

The partnership between the former AEW Women’s World and TNA Knockouts Champions might not be long for this world, however, as one report has suggested WWE is already making plans for Blake Monroe’s heel turn.
