Big WWE Name Confirms Return Of Ex-Star
A former WWE Superstar could be back on television very soon.
On April 2, it was reported that Rusev, formerly Miro in AEW, had re-signed with WWE.
The report claimed that the former United States Champion had been spotted at company HQ where the “stage was being set” for his return to television. Rusev spent ten years with WWE between 2010 and his release in 2020.
Despite the reports and speculation, there has been no confirmation that the star has re-signed. Until now.
Rusev Back With WWE
During a livestream on April 17 hosted by WWE and Fanatics, Big E confirmed Rusev is now back with the company. While discussing a trading card featuring the star, he said he’d spoken with Rusev recently, who confirmed he’d re-signed.
“I reached out to him and he confirmed that the news is indeed true. I don’t know when he’ll be back. A blast from the past and actually it’s very topical because he has just announced that he is returning to the squared circle here in World Wrestling Entertainment.”
While there’s been no official word on when Rusev will kick off his second WWE career, there’s growing speculation he could be Randy Orton’s mystery opponent on night two of WrestleMania. Orton had been due to face Kevin Owens, but KO was forced to pull out due to a serious neck injury.
Despite this, it’s believed Orton will wrestle on night two.
