Big Title Change On AEW Dynamite
On Dynamite in Pittsburgh, PA, Wardlow returned to action for the first time since losing his TNT Championship to get revenge on the AEW star that stole that title from him, Powerhouse Hobbs.
Hobbs and Wardlow met back in March with the former Team Taz man winning the TNT Title thanks to more than a little help from his new ally, QT Marshall. Mr. Mayhem did not have to wait too long to get his revenge however as a return match was set for Dynamite in Pittsburgh and Wardlow had a surprise of his own.
With Powerhouse Hobbs coming to the ring with both QT Marshall and Harley Cameron Wardlow has found a new ally in WWE Hall of Famer Arn Anderson. Anderson was previously the Head Coach for Cody Rhodes’ Nightmare Family and has not been seen much on AEW television since Rhodes left the company. Although he has been by his son, Brock Anderson’s side since then. It is the first time that Anderson has been back with the company since the tragic death of his oldest son Barrett.
Wardlow nailed the champion with his powerbomb symphony and regain the TNT Championship for the third time in his career. The new champion’s celebrations were short-lived, however, as Luchasaurus and Christian Cage soon appeared on the ramp, signaling that the big man has title aspirations of his own.
