Big Push Backstage For International WWE Event

WWE WrestleMania Triple H

WWE looks to be continuing its international push.

Back in July, WWE returned to Japan for a run of three live events featuring the likes of Cody Rhodes, Shinsuke Nakamura, Drew McIntyre, Bayley, Bianca Belair, and more.

The run of shows was the company’s first in the country since 2019 and proved to be a big hit with not only fans but the wrestlers involved.

In recent years, WWE has been running an increasing number of shows outside of North America with PLEs held in Australia, France, Germany, Scotland, and Saudi Arabia in 2024 alone.

According to a new report on WrestleVotes Radio via SportsKeeda’s Backstage Pass Patreon, there’s been an internal push to return to Japan in the not-too-distant future.

“I think Japan definitely gets something in the future. I know there’s a big push internally for the Japanese market. There’s a lot of Japanese talent on the roster. And I think the last tour they just had over there in Japan was very successful as well.”

WWE Planning UK Return

The news comes after it was reported that WWE is looking to take Elimination Chamber to the United Kingdom in 2025. Although no official announcement has been made, it’s believed Manchester and Birmingham are leading the race to host the event.

Elimination Chamber 2024 was held in Australia, with more than 52,000 fans packing into the Optus Stadium in Perth.

The company’s most recent visit to the UK came in June 2024 for Clash at the Castle: Scotland.
