Big Name AEW Star Open To WWE Switch

AEW star Chris Jericho has admitted he would consider a switch to WWE.

It was back in January 2019 that veteran star Jericho gave upstart promotion All Elite Wrestling a vital shot in the arm by penning a three-year contract with the company, adding much needed star power as Tony Khan looked to build a promotion capable of competing with WWE.

The former Undisputed WWE Champion has gone on to become a leading light for AEW in recent years, consistently being featured in key programmes after capturing the inaugural AEW World Championship at All Out 2019.

Irrespective of his advancing years, Jericho shows no signs of stepping away from the squared circle and is the current holder of the ROH World Championship. Despite his success in AEW, Jericho refuses to rule out a return back to WWE in future.

Speaking during an appearance at ‘Horror, Rock ‘N Wrestle Fest‘, the 54 year-old admitted that he would consider one final run in WWE before hanging up his boots:

“I would have considered a return to WWE before things changed. Once again, there are two teams you can play on, which is amazing, and it’s one of the reasons why I wanted to take a chance and go to AEW in the first place, it was a real gamble…

Of course I would consider going back there (WWE). I would also consider not going back there too, it just depends on what the situation is and what’s going on with me at the time.”

AEW Veteran Yet To Discuss WWE Appearance With Tony Khan

The wrestling world is gearing up for this years edition of the WWE Hall Of Fame. The popular ceremony is set to emanate from Fontainebleau, Las Vegas on 18th April.

Amongst the prestigious inductees for 2025 is former WCW Champion, Lex Luger. The 66 year-old is closely associated with legendary star Sting, who is currently under contract with AEW.

Whilst many are expecting Sting to make a rare one-night crossover to WWE to induct Luger into the Hall Of Fame, Tony Khan recently revealed that no conversation with ‘The Stinger’ regarding the role had yet taken place.
