“Big Boom” AJ Suffers Injury In Debut AEW Match

AEW Big Boom AJ Big Justice The Rizzler

The first AEW match for “Big Boom” AJ saw the social media star pick up the victory while competing with an injury.

A former pro wrestler known as “Big Boom” A.J. competed in his first AEW match at the Full Gear PPV. “Big Boom” AJ, along with his son Big Justice and his son’s best friend, a child known as The Rizzler, was in action against QT Marshall on the Full Gear pre-show.

AJ, his son Big Justice, and The Rizzler are famous as “The Costco Guys” on social media with millions of followers. Since AJ used to be a pro wrestler, he decided to have a match.

That match between “Big Boom” AJ (real name is Andrew Befumo) and QT Marshall saw Marshall’s buddy Aaron Solo try to interfere, which led to Big Justice hitting a Spear on Marshall. AJ hit a Power Boom (powerbomb) on Marshall for the pinfall win.

It was announced by AEW on their website and on social media that “Big Boom” AJ suffered a foot injury.

“While bringing the BOOM! against QT Marshall on this past Saturday’s AEW Full Gear Zero Hour, Big BOOM! A.J. suffered a broken foot but managed to fight valiantly and earn the victory in his AEW debut in front of his son, Big Justice, friend The Rizzler, more than 10,000 fans at Prudential Center and millions of fans from around the world watching at home.

AEW looks forward to welcoming Big BOOM! A.J., Big Justice and the whole Costco Guys crew back anytime, and we wish him a speedy recovery.”

“Big Boom” AJ Suffered Foot Injury Before AEW Full Gear Match

It has been reported by Fightful Select that “Big Boom” AJ’s foot injury happened before the match, and he kept it to himself. Fightful was told that AJ “didn’t want to disappoint fans who had bought a ticket to see him and waste promotion for the match.”

PWInsider reported along with Fightful Select that AJ was on crutches after the show.

Based on the comments above, it sounds like AEW fans could be seeing AJ and the Costco Guys again soon.
