Big Bill Marries Fellow AEW Star
Big Bill is a married man after getting married to the stepdaughter of a legendary wrestler.
On AEW television, Big Bill is part of “The Learning Tree” group with ROH World Champion Chris Jericho and Bryan Keith. Bill is nicknamed the “Redwood” in AEW since he’s a big man and it fits the “learning tree” gimmick.
When he’s off AEW television, Big Bill has been dating backstage interviewer Lexy Nair for a few years. They were engaged for about two years before announcing that they got married.
Lexy Nair posted photos on Instagram of the happy couple. They were married at the Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya resort in Mexico.
The 28-year-old Nair is the stepdaughter of WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page. Big Bill is 38 years old, and he has used his real name William Morrissey (or W. Morrissey) in pro wrestling as well.
Big Bill Talked To WWE About Possible Return
During his AEW run, Big Bill has found success as a former AEW Tag Team Champion with Ricky Starks as a partner. Many fans know Big Bill from his WWE run from 2011 to 2018 as Big Cass, who was part of the popular Enzo & Cass tag team with Enzo Amore.
After his WWE run ended, Big Bill went through a lot of personal issues, including alcohol addiction. After going through rehab, his wrestling career resumed, he worked for TNA/Impact Wrestling and has worked for AEW since May 2022.
Even though Big Bill doesn’t work for WWE anymore, he has a lot of love for them and he has spoken about how he reached out to WWE’s CCO Triple H after being encouraged by Finn Balor.
“I talked briefly to Finn when Impact offered me to go there. I was like, ‘WWE has done so much for me in terms of rehab and they’ve paid a lot of money. I don’t want to insult them.’ He said, ‘Just talk to Hunter. He’ll understand.’
Before I went to Impact, I texted Hunter and wanted to let them know, super appreciative. ‘I’m super appreciative. I’m not ready to come back to WWE. I want to go do this. Down the road, we’ll see.’ He was super cool about it. That’s exactly what he said, ‘Do what you have to do, down the road.’ That’s the only time I reached out to them at that point.”
